Richard Schaefer told me he's holding May 19 at Staples Center for @kingpete26-@AmirKingKhan 2. Said he has made offer to Peterson today.

Well perhaps Golden Boy are planning to get Khan some Latino fans by placing him near Mexican Independence day.
Also wouldn't this put the fight on after Mayweather's replay ?

Dont put him in with a brother from DC and expect to get latinos excited.

Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions, Khan's promoter, has already offered Peterson and his team a rematch contract for May 19 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, according to Dan Rafael of ESPN. [http://twitter.com/#!/danrafaelespn/status/146391171831312384]
But Hunter also told Rafael that "There is no need to go rushing into anything, or to be reckless in our decision making."
"It doesn't make sense to me or Lamont, I don't care what happens," Hunter told Boxing Scene in a separate interview. "I'm not going to let nobody bully us."
"I have got to do what is best and right for Lamont... A rematch has to make business sense," he added.
Hunter said Peterson has to be given time to take in what he has accomplished in beating Khan.
Peterson is also considering a rematch against World Boxing Organization light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley, who gave him his only career defeat in 2009.
"For Bradley, anytime, any place," Peterson said in a RingTV.com interview. "You know, he's the only guy to defeat me, and I know that I can beat him, so I would love to fight him also."
As for Khan, Peterson said the deal for the rematch has to be right before he fights the British boxer again.
"Pretty much my team has to agree on everything, so we'll have to sit down and have our talk and see where we go from here," he said.
