Oscar: IF Mayweather has any honor he will give Victor Ortiz a rematch
"If Mayweather has any honor, and I think he does, he will give Victor Ortiz a rematch," De La Hoya said. "None of the champions I've faced would have taken advantage of the situation the way Floyd did. Everyone was cheated from a great fight. The fans were cheated."
"This had the potential to be a great fight. Ortiz was coming from behind, he was coming on strong and we were cheated from what could have been a great fight. I think the referee needs to have control of the fight and I personally feel that he lost control in that fight. Call it legal or call it illegal, it was bad sportsmanship plain and simple and if Floyd has any sort of honor he will give Victor Ortiz a rematch."

Fat Dan has really been ripping into Oscar during the Twitter conference
Dan Rafael
On a conference call with Ortiz and De La Hoya where they are, to no shock, begging Floyd again for a rematch. No thanks.
Dan Rafael
I can't take the spin from these guys. Please.
Dan Rafael
Oscar and Ortiz and Ortiz's manager are complaining about elbows and ripping Cortez. I'm gonna be sick.
Dan Rafael
I beg to differ. I'm getting dizzy from the spin. HELP!
Dan Rafael
This call with Ortiz, Oscar and Roladno Arellano is laughable. WAHHHHH!!!!!! WAHHHHHHH!!!!!!! CRYYYYY!!!!! CRYYYY! WAHHHHHHH!
Dan Rafael
Not sure who is responsible, but whoever had the idea for this horrific call made one of the worst PR decisions in the history of the world.
Oscar De La Hoya
I think dan rafeal takes it to personal.maybe he needs a hug?
Oscar De La Hoya
I just feel dan talking all that s%*#t is so unprofessional.I'm standing by my fighter 100 %

I think we all forget, but that fight was actually turning out to be pretty good before it turned into a circus show. When Ortiz landed flush, he sent Floyd to the ropes and it happened a few times. However, I still believe Ortiz could of got up from those punches, but just stayed down instead. Floyd couldnt hurt him at all in those 4 rounds, even though he gave Ortiz a black eye with those right hands.
and NO, I do not believe Ortiz deserves a rematch.

I would love to see a rematch after Floyd fight's Pac. Best case scenario to me is Khan v. Ortiz, Berto v. Bradley, and Floyd v. Pac. If Pac wins he fights Ortiz or the Berto v. Bradley winner and Floyd likely retires. If Floyd wins he fights the Khan v. Ortiz winner and Pac fights the Berto v. Bradley winner.Diego408 wrote:I think we all forget, but that fight was actually turning out to be pretty good before it turned into a circus show. Yup, developing into a good fight with some drama
Why I dont get the media's beef with Ortiz & his camp calling for a rematch in a fight where he felt he was suckered punch???
Why are they surprised he's calling for one???

Re: Oscar: IF Mayweather has any honor he will give Victor Ortiz a rematch
Dan has been bashing Ortiz and Company about the rematch. If i was Ortiz i would be calling for one too. Many were entertained by the fight before it ened and it was turning into a very good fight, but the reason I dont feel like Ortiz should get a rematch is because I thought Ortiz just didnt try to get up. Thats my problem with Ortiz, he could of gotten up from those punches, but decided to stay down which I dont understand.gomez1012 wrote:Diego408 wrote:I think we all forget, but that fight was actually turning out to be pretty good before it turned into a circus show. +1 but honestly i do agree with Floyd, fight Berto first before and then try to get a rematch with Floyd.Gumby wrote:I would love to see a rematch after Floyd fight's Pac. Floyd Mayweather
I've fallen and I can't get up
Floyd Mayweather
Victoria Ortiz's new nickname is "Take 2 of these and call me in the morning"
Floyd Mayweather
Victoria Ortiz thought it was a head-butting contest. But that 2-piece gave him some act right.
Floyd Mayweather
Does Victoria Ortiz want another rematch because he thinks he can win or does he want another payday?
Floyd Mayweather
Victoria's Secret
Floyd Mayweather
Victoria Ortiz's idol is Oscar De La Hoya aka Golden Girl #fishnet #blackpantyhose
Floyd Mayweather
I left the fight in the ring but Oscar and Ortiz keep doing interviews crying like some Golden Girl bitches. I will fuck both of you up.
Floyd Mayweather
You want to talk about cheating..

Let it go Oscar, I watched the fight again and it appeared that Flod had taken control of the fight but Flod is such a dirtbag he could have KO Ortiz legit later in the fight

I agree with everything you said but I will add that yes there needs to be a rematch because after the fight Floyd said he would. Stand by your word Flod.Diego408 wrote:I think we all forget, but that fight was actually turning out to be pretty good before it turned into a circus show. Floyd won 4 rounds to zero and Ortiz started with the dirty tactics. Why does he deserve a rematch?

Yes he said he would, but after he fights and beats Berto, again. Ive been agreeing with shit Floyd's been saying lately, something might me wrong with me.Soonermark890 wrote:I agree with everything you said but I will add that yes there needs to be a rematch because after the fight Floyd said he would. It wont make as much money as the first fight. Floyd would have to buy half the arena. And Im not sure it would do 1 mill.

Re: Oscar: IF Mayweather has any honor he will give Victor Ortiz a rematch
i cant see how anybody can think Ortiz was "in" that fight. Mayweather was taking him apart. Ortiz's workrate was totally ineffective, he had gotten himself completely frustrated and out of his gameplan by the 4th round which only goes to serve as an indication of the inevitable dismantling process that was to follow orchestrated by Mayweather's right hand lead. Ortiz was getting hurt, his face was wearing the scars of battle already and i think Mayweather was on his way to a stoppage victory anyway. Ortiz could have carried on valiantly, outclassed but valiantly. instead he decided to try and win illegally by repeatedly trying to butt Mayweather. his plan backfired. he deserves no rematch. a rematch being granted by Mayweather would be farcical. before their encounter Ortiz was a legit opponent for Mayweather. after what we witnessed it is evident he is not. Mayweather vs Pacquiao, Mayweather vs Bradley, Mayweather vs Khan, Mayweather vs Martinez are the only fights i'm interested in seeing involving Mayweather

Re: Oscar: IF Mayweather has any honor he will give Victor Ortiz a rematch
Once floyd saw the right hands were landing at will the fight was going to end in a KO. Even when he had floyd in the corner and was throwing all of those punches and then the headbutt he may have landed 1 of 5 punches and that wasn't even a clean shot. No need for a rematch.
