Are we still going to use the ring rankings or should we do our own?
Just wondering. We have done these in the past and it does take a lot of work. We could do it in a number of ways. Voting (this is the hardest), Points system (also difficult), or we could have one person assigned a couple of divisions each. Let me know. I just thought it could be fun and now that ring is corrupt might as well.
Also if we choose to have one person do a division I volunteer Grant for the HW division.

Oh also I think we should also be like the ring and have a champ named then the top 10 if we do it.

I think we should vote for our own. This site should have their own Boxing and MMA rankings and not rely on other sites.

Which way? Also did you get that one message I sent you? You never replied.Frank wrote:Sooner, I think we should do our own rankings.

Just sent you a message. Also, I think a P4P rating system is a good one. As far as seperate divisions go, I would recognize a champion and that would be it. I mean, could you imagine trying to form a top ten contender list of the HW division? That's a pretty boring assignment. LOLSoonermark890 wrote:Which way? I think we should have a champion for each division with the top 5 contenders.

Something like-
Heavyweight 201lb +
Champion: Wladimir Klitschko
1) Vitali Klitschko
2) Alexander Povetkin
3) Tomasz Adamek
4) David Haye
5) Eddie Chambers

Up to you guys. I asked a few weeks back if I should remove the Ring rankings, and I got a "wait and see" response.
I do think we should do our own P4P regardless. But yeah, doing entire division rankings for 17 divisions is a lot of work. I say we stick with Ring for now, since they're still universally regarded, but if they start to become a joke, then by all means.

I for one couldn't do a top 10 in all of the weight classes. Anything below bantam and I'm lost.

ESPN does 10 down to 126 pounds and then 5 guys plus other contenders for all weights below 126.

I'm cool with whatever. 5 for all, 10 for all, 10 for the ones we know 122 or 126 and above, and 5 for rest, whatever....
Sooner-I sent you a message as well.
I'd rather go top 10.

I'm up for whatever, but I don't watch enough boxing to make an informed decision about all of the guys in all of the divisions.
