Ricky Burns vs. Adrien Broner set for Nov 26th

Sources within Scotland have advised BoxingScene.com that a deal has been reached for Ricky Burns (39-2, 9 KOs) to defend his WBO super featherweight championship against undefeated Adrien Broner (21-0, 17 KOs) on November 26th. Burns will provide Broner with the homefield advantage by traveling to the United States to face the American boxer at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati. HBO will televise the fight. Broner's promoter, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, confirmed the information to Lem Satterfield of RingTV.com.

Ricky would of had both fights (Fana and Broner) actually if Warren wasnt scared of putting him against Fana in Africa. Fana isnt even good, its was a very winnable fight for Burns, plus he would of got a good paid day out of it.

That offer for that fight was long ago, Fana's team gave him a good purse that they couldnt match to bring him to the UK. It would have been a good pay day and he would of won that fight. Im just saying he could of had both fights this year.

I dont think you understand what Im telling you. They're both good pay days, he would of had both if he would have accepted the Fana fight (a very winnable fight because Fana sucks). It would of been more money in his pocket, but now hes just cashing out with the Broner fight.

Ricky had a good chance to beat Fana and be the Champ in his division before taking a HBO payout fight. But now if he loses to Broner that chance will be over.

Actually yeah. He's making good money in the UK. If he became the first Scot to win The Ring belt and be legit Champ, he'd be even bigger. He could milk that for more than a single HBO payout.
