Kessler result-SPOILER, DON'T LOOK if waiting for showtime!
WBC super middeweight champion emeritus Mikkel Kessler (43-2, 32 KOs) fought WBO #5/IBF #10 rated Mehdi Bouadla (23-3, 11 KOs) on Saturday night at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The bout will be shown in its entirety on tonight’s SHOWTIME telecast. To avoid spoilers, we have posted the reults of the bout at this link.
WBC super middeweight champion emeritus Mikkel Kessler (44-2, 33 KOs) scored a sixth round beatdown of WBO #5/IBF #10 rated Mehdi Bouadla (23-4, 11 KOs) on Saturday night at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark. Kessler began to open up in round two and dropped Bouadla with a furious assault in round three. Bouadla somehow survived the round. Kessler continued to tee off in round four, but the rugged Bouadla kept coming. Kessler finally battered him to the deck twice in round six and the bout was waved off by referee Manuel Maritxalar. Time was 2:25.
It was Kessler’s first bout in 14 months since his Super Six win over Carl Froch. Kessler later dropped out of the tournament due to double vision, which has now improved. He is expected to face IBF champion Lucian Bute later this year. It was the first time Bouadla has been stopped.

Kessler looked pretty sharp tonight, showed no signs of rust. Can't wait to see him and Bute in the fall.

@danrafaelespn How big is Mikkel Kessler in Denmark? His fight peaked at 1.137 million viewers, a 66 share of all Danish TVs in use. Amazing. #boxingalive
