Chris Arreola: 234 WOW
It's good to see him at least getting into the mindset it's gonna take to make another run at the top. I still think an in-shape Arreola is at or near the top of the best of the rest of pack.

This just in: Chris Arreola only had one foot on the scale when he purportedly weighed in at 234 lbs recently.......

He did what I do, weigh in with a hand pressing down on the bathroom counter. Doing that, I'm able to make cruiser.

It's too bad it had to take getting deal with by Vitali and embarrased by a former Light HW in Adamek to take his career seriously.
234 is good. He needs to get to 220-225.

Seems to be the case more and more with the problems with boxing. I was just thinking about how fighters change when go to HBO/Al Hayman.
I remember when Arreola was on Showbox. And he wasn't as grossly out of shape as he became. Or when Chad Dawson was on Showbox, fighting regularly. That was when people were saying he was going to be the next best thing. Then he goes to HBO and his career turned to shit.

it is a start. I'll stand by what I've said before, Arreola's lean body mass is not any more than Haye.

So he stops Nagy in three rounds.
This is the best shape I've seen Jabba Arreola in a while.
But we'll see how seriouse he is his next fight. Whether he keeps the blubb off and get's down even lighter.
He get's down to the 225 range I think he can do a solid comeback.

Re: Chris Arreola: 234 WOW
aerola last night gave me mixed impressions..the lighter weight was a plus and maybe another 5-8 pounds less will be his best weight..his footwork seemed improved a bit and his handspeed was very good.he tossed several punches with a variety of combos..but the guy he fought also hit him a lot.
i realize ill be a minority of one on the stoppage.you could see it coming again with the body language of the ref..yes chris was oppening up at a fast pace but again the guy didnt get hit with a shot that stopped him in his tracts nor was he defensless..the guy was sliping several punches while cornered and yes fired back ..im not advocating a dempsey-willard fight and the inevnible was coming but darn let it come.im not saying the ref did a bad job but im from the school of thought that for decades untill recently said untill the guys defenseless or not slipping punches or not attempting to fight back give him a chance no matter how little you think it is.berto=ortiz is a perfect example for he was 1 or 2 punches away from being stopped.
overall it was a improved aerola but against competion of a questionable abilty.the matchup did benfit chris because it allowed him to work on some things effectively.i hope he stays focused and motivated like he is now..he has the heart so its a start in the right direction.
