Lateef Kayode vs Matt Godfrey set for June 10th

Promoter Gary Shaw has lined up a tripleheader for the June 10 edition of "ShoBox: The New Generation" (Showtime) at the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, Calif. According to Shaw, rising cruiserweight contender Lateef "Power" Kayode (16-0, 14 KOs) will face former title challenger Matt Godfrey (20-2, 10 KOs) in the main event. In his last bout, Nigeria's Kayode was pushed to the limit in a decision win against Nicholas Iannuzzi in February. Godfrey was stopped in the fifth round of a title shot against Marco Huck in Germany in August. Also on the card, junior featherweight Chris Avalos (18-1, 15 KOs) will face Jennifel Vicente (21-0-2, 14 KOs) and lightweight Archie Ray Marquez (12-0, 8 KOs) will meet Art Hovhannesyan (13-0-1, 7 KOs).
