Yeah, but no one expects Baylor to be any good. Maybe we're all kidding ourselves, but every year the Irish fans think we have a chance. When I was a kid they were a top team; those days are long gone now.

I guess having to recruit kids who can actually READ is becoming too big of a hurdle for NCAA success.

That and I dont think that everyone looks at ND the same as they used to. Its harder to recruit to ND than it used to be. In the past they just offered them a scholarship and they came now they have to compete to get big recruits.

For what it's worth, the "week one" standings are:

Tobe 8-2
Sooner 8-2

I'll do this again next week and lets get some more people on board.

If people want we can start at 0-0 again next week just so it's fair (if you're good with that Sooner).

Yeah, might as well start over. I'm away this weekend but I'll put another thread up before I go for this weekend's games.

BTW - If my Irish find some way to lose to Tulsa I'm officially turning in my Notre Dame fanclub membership
