-Source tells me that Paul Williams and reps turned down Sergei Dzinziruk, K9 Bundrage and MA Rubio for July 9th return

-P-Williams and team were asking for Nobu Ishida( but HBO to their credit rejected that)

-As for P-Will, I think Austin Trout is also out of the picture, too. Again, HBO creates these monters, now they gotta deal with them

Fucking Al Haymon...

I can see turning down Dzinziruk(too skilled for a comeback fight) and Rubio(a fight that must be at middle) but K9 and Trout hold trinkets at 154 and are very winnable fights. He should be a massive favorite in either of those.

The problem I have is Williams and his camp said they wouldn't be taking an easy comeback fight. K9 or Sergei D are perfect opponents for Williams to face in July.

An offer was made to Golden Boy to have Ishida (who knocked out Kirkland) fight him, but according to Richard Schaefer there is no deal yet. I have a hard time seeing Williams-Ishida as an HBO main event.
