that is a bad bad idea. Lacy is beyond shot. HE is shot enough that he could lose to a stiff breeze in a boxing match.

Pretty good test for Nick if he's serious about boxing, if he cant outwork a guy as done as Lacy. Forget about boxing ever again.

The sad thing is Diaz could probably win, although Diaz is prone to being clipped by wild hayemakers, as we saw in the Daley fight.

Calzaghe ruined Lacy. Lacy was done after that fight. his corner should have pulled him out before the 9th round. shocking beatdown, one of the most dominant performances i've seen by a boxer in a unification contest. Lacy's corner ruined him that night and that was something that fighters just dont recover from, totally different to getting caught with a big shot. completely psychologically destroying

on a serious note though, it was a total public humiliation. his face was a mess. the corner and the ref failed their duty to preserve Lacy's dignity in that fight. i thought it was really sad for Lacy if i'm honest

I agree, the corner should have stepped in during that round were Calzaghe had Lacy trapped in the corner and dropped him. I think it was the 10th or 11th.

he never dropped Lacy in the corner. he had Lacy badly hurt in the 7th round trapped in the corner and was hurting him and then the bell went. he put Lacy down in the 12th. it was clear by the 5th round that Lacy was well out of his depth and he was already shipping huge punishment. Lacy is more than wasshed up now. that fight ruined him and that was in 2005

Diaz has been calling out top fighters for years now. It's about who accepts. I wouldn't mind Lacy vs. Diaz. Lacy worn down enough that it would be a brawl and he's enough of a name that they might put it on tv. Definite FNF material. I think it would be fun although I'd hate the shit talking from MMA fans if Diaz won.
