Grade the Refs

Showtime Main Event - Lopez vs Salido
Roberto Ramirez Jr.
Grade: C-
Ok job, kept warning Salido for BS, and yea the stoppage was a bit early after rewatching it. Considering JML's history, a Steve Smoger would of been best in this fight.
Kinda like Vazquez-Marquez II where Rafael Marquez was very hurt but still trying to trade.
HBO Main Event - Berto vs Ortiz
Mike Ortega
Grade: F
The BS point deduction, giving Berto time to rest, breaking them way too early, not warning or even taking points away for Berto's excessive clinching. This dude was terrible.

Yeah, that HBO ref was Cortez bad.

Mike Ortega is normally a good referee...
Kenny Bayless without doubt is the best in the business though. i'd quite happily rank Tony Weeks at 2nd.
Mickey Vann was a good ref......

+1 oh dude Mora took the biscuit that night, deducting for legit body shots and then deducting from Guerrero after feeling guilty. Russel had a horrible night last week.
