Cowboys fire Wade Phillips

I'll always remember Philips as the schmuck who benched the very effective Doug Flutie in Buffalo in favour of the younger, taller, far less effective back up- I think his name was rob Johnson.

Yup. That Sunday night performance was as dismal a display as I've seen in a long time. Undisciplined, unmotivated, unfocused and just plain robbing their fans.

Phillips was a horrible coach. Jerry Jones is a horrible GM. If the Cowboys want to return to prominence, Jones needs to be the owner, not the GM (and wannabe coach).

Agreed. Jerry also fired "Jimmy Johnson" who is easily a HOF football coach. Jerry has never known football and has finally destroyed one of the biggest franchises in sports history. He's no Al Davis.
