Same Hopkins that stomped on the Rican flag, slapped Winky, told Calzaghe during a presser he'd never lose to a white boy, and in the first fight stole Pascal's belt. And you can bet he was the instigator in the Mayweather-Mosley showdown after Mayweather's win against JMM

jesus some of you guys have a bad memory. Hopkins has insulted his opponents at press conferences throughout his career. Hopkins is classless, he always has been. "i'll never let a white boy beat me", anybody remember that? the Puerto Rican flag? stealing Pascal's belt in the first fight....... now somebody returns fire it's classless??? i remember watching Calzaghe clowning Roy Jones in like the 10th round and Lampley making a comment like "ok now Joe, you've made your point.." when that was Roy Jones doing that to his opponents he was the best thing since sliced bread. selective memories. i'm surprised it's taking somebody this long to lower themselves to Hopkins' level at a press conference

Pasquel put his hands on Bernard and was pushed. I would've pushed him too. Pasquel is obnoxious. Bernard on steroids after a career this long? I very seriously doubt it. He hasn't gained a pound in more than a decade.

I agree with dbudge about Bernard's past behavior, but how many guys have managed to make themselves the bad guy against Hopkins? Not many. Pasquel needs to shut up. This, "Take the test" shit is getting rather dumb and old very quickly. We know who to thank for that.

i think it is just a case of Pascal playing mind games. he wasn't like this before the first Hopkins fight. and i think it might have worked a bit to get a reaction like that out of Bernard. but this might have just really pissed Hopkins off and made Pascal's evening a whole lot harder for himself

I know this much....Pascal better bring a better game than he did in the first fight. The only thing that saved Calzaghe from a beating was his ability to maintain his output for the entire fight. If Pascal thinks he can slow down against B-Hop, he's gonna lose...again.

Hopkins might beat him down like he did Joppy, he was killing Pascal to the body after the 4th rd or so

As a BHop fan, I can admit he is getting a little of his own medicine back. However, if this behaviour makes BHop classless like most contend, then it makes Pascal just as classless. BHop, at this point in his career, needs to get motivation from any place possible and will trump this up until after the fight. This fight is going to be interesting.

Don't be too harsh on Pascal; he's clearly at a disadvantage here. Everyone knows you cannot trash talk effectively if you have a French accent!

This is a good point. If you get a fighter angry, it's only an advantage if you know what you're doing. Pissing Hopkins off just for the hell of it is stupid. He's a counterpuncher who knows how to take the fight to other counterpunchers.

When a master boxer angers a great slugger, that works to his advantage. When you anger a ring general for the hell of it, that's stupid. Come to think of it, even great boxers have regretted provoking their hard slugging rivals into a rage. Ever heard of "The Thriller In Manila?"
