WBA interim super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux (8-0, 6 KOs) annihilated Willie Casey (11-1, 7 KOs) on Saturday at the City West Hotel in Dublin, Ireland. Rigondeaux dropped Casey three times in round one and the fight was stopped. Time was 2:38.

first left uppercut hurt Casey. Of course Casey wasn't close to ready for a guy of Rigondeaux's caliber. Dumb fight when made.

To think I was excited that Rigondeaux-Donaire was a possibility. Now Rigondeaux will go nowhere and Donaire won't even fight.

I don't think it had anything to do with aggressiveness. He just saw very early that he could hurt Casey easily so he did.
