No worries. I got Telefutura. I'll prolly just put up a recap of the fights in bold.

Yea. He's loading up on single shots. Some solid knockdowns though. Pitbull is a fitting nickname.

Re: Solo Boxeo 1/14/2011
Rd. 1 - Gomez looked really calm stalking. He wasn't too active, but threw single shots - whipping hooks and sharp jabs. Fast hands and a hard hitter. He wobbled Luis Lugo (decent movement, can box a little, not much else) towards the end with a good shot He's wearing his trunks low.
Rd. 2 - The announcers talked a lot about how Gomez throws with purpose, but wondered how Frankie's going to deal when he steps up in competition because he's open to a straight right if thrown with speed. He dropped Lugo with a nice straight down the pipe. Opened up a little with a few flurries but stayed patient.
Rd. 3 - Lugo stayed game and pressed a little to start. Frankie tried to set him up with a few uppercuts and caught him with a wicked left hook to the chest that lifted Lugo and dropped him (Lugo was stepping in a just got clotheslined). Frankie pressed the rest of the round but couldn't get his opening. He seems like a real smart, aggressive offensive fighter.
Rd. 4 - Frankie got more confident just leading with his left hook. Just loaded up on it. Lugo stayed pretty game, but Frankie really started doing whatever he felt like this round. He should've been much more active.
Rd. 5 - The fight got fun. Frankie picked up the pace for a bit and things got a little more rough and tumble. His hands aren't as fast in combination, but single shots he's fast and accurate. He's landed some good shots.
Rd. 6 - Last round. If Frankie doesn't go for the KO I'll be disappointed. His corner is asking for less hooks and more uppercuts. Frankie listened and he's going for the finish this round. He went back to his methodical stalking after a minute. Not sure if it's a stamina or temperament thing. Lugo's buckled a couple of times and he looks fidgety.
Wish he would've gotten the knock down but a good showing by Frankie.

I thought Frankie was pretty good, but this is the first time I've really paid attention to one of his fights. I think he should get his guard up and throw more, but he completely dominated. They always match Lara up with someone to display his awesomeness. Fucking Menudo.
Matthysse and Chop Chop next week.

Re: Solo Boxeo 1/14/2011
Rd. 1 - Didn't realize this fight was at middleweight. Interesting. I guess it was a Jr MW. but Raines is at 165 and Lara at 162. Lara right in the center of the ring. Raines looks uncomfortable. Lara's still cautious but a little bit more aggressive than against a decent fighter. Some great straight lefts to the body by Lara. He's sharp tonight. Lara's shown a little bit of everything this round. Good footwork. Some good hooks. Good uppercuts. Good tempo. Good distance. Mixing up punches. Good D. Calm.
He just ended it! Damn. That was impressive. He took a left hook to the body and Raines didn't bring his left back to protect his head so Lara just ripped him with a right hook. Lara needs to be fighting the best at 154.
Interview: Lara refused to admit it was an easy fight, thanked his team, seemed pretty grateful to everyone and said he's waiting for Canelo's brother or some other guy I don't know. Guy looked like he had just finished a jog and was going to take a nap.

This is no fun for a 4 rounder. Caballero actually seems to have some talent but isn't a big hitter so he's just breaking down the other guy. Would've preferred a slug fest. I'm going to assume he'll win and call it a night.
