How does everyone feel about this fight? I think Trout has a great chance. He is a solid technician, a southpaw, and much bigger than Miguel. I like both guys but this fight is one that really gets me excited. It is one I view as close to even and serves as a pass the torch or legitimize at weight type fight.

im not really that impressed with trout. he is alright but cotto is still a pretty good fighter. he isnt what he used to be but is good enough that he should win pretty easily. i think that trout keeps it semi competitive for the first about 4 rounds and then cotto takes over and wins a UD with a KD during the fight.

Cotto should win and if he doesn't he needs to retire. Trout really isn't a bad fighter but cotto is or has been on another level

It sounds like Cotto is close to retirement with the comments he made on all access. I agree Trout hasn't and most likely will never reach the level Cotto once was at (around 5 on P4P) but Cotto has lost a step or more and is fighting at a weight class he isn't really big enough for. I think with Trout's skills, size, and southpaw stance, he definitely has a chance. Add in Cotto's retirement talk and Trout fully understanding this is his big chance and I am intrigued by this fight.

im glad that cotto is taking this fight. cotto has fought a lot of dangerous fights throughout his career. he has taken a lot of the high risk low reward fights. this is one of them. he just came off of a mayweather fight and he is now fighting trout. i hope he wins and thinks about retiring soon. he is still a pretty good fighter but not what he once was.

i admire the fighters like cotto who are willing to fight risky fights regularly. Those types are few and far inbetween today.

Cotto has never faced anyone decent at Jr Middleweight, Mayweather doesn't really count because hes a true Welterweight and one of the best fighters in the world. Trout is his first major challenge at the weight. However, Cotto didnt look bad against Mayweather back in May. He looked strong and fought an intelligent fight. If he can preform like that this Saturday he will defeat the game Trout. Trout isnt overly impressive, but he is a solid fighter. I think Cotto will win in by decision.
