HBO was shit last night

The announcing was horrible. It was the worst they have ever been.

Jim was annoying as hell. Last night he just kept on rambling and yelling.

Max added little to nothing but how could he with Roy and Jim talking non stop trying to out sensationalize each other.

ROY get rid of him. He was the most biased announcer I have ever heard. It was obvious that RG was in control all but a couple of rounds and Roy acted as if the fight was even. He slurs his words and is absolutely terrible.

HBO needs to find some new blood because these guys were really really bad.

It was just so bad it was distracting from the great fight going on.

Unfortunately, there aren't many choices out there....RJJ used to be really good, but his speech is all but gone. Lampley is the same, he hypes the guy he's told to hype. Max seems unsure of himself lately. I wonder if he was told to play nice or...... Even the interviews pretty much sucked.

I disagree entirely. I like Roy's insight and he seemed even better than usual last night.

Max consistently does well.

Jim is corny and could be replaced, but that will never happen.

see I thought all Roy did last night was tell us how good Berto is and how he is dangerous. I never really noticed him adding anything worthwhile.

I thought Max was terrible in the interview with Berto. He gave him an excuse by asking if he thought the ref was unfair or whatever it was he said.

I'll admit that when I watch HBO fights, I mute the volume to block out the announcers. The only I can tolerate is Larry Merchant.

i liked max when he was on espn

3-0 RG, up 5 pts. RG grinding Berto down on the inside after hurting him in 1st 2 rounds.

Berto did land a couple of shots near end of round 3. Berto needs to throw some punches with bad intentions now. The eye, way behind, he needs to go offensive.

I thought Berto pulled out the 4th.

RG winning going away, but he needs to watch out for Berto's uppercut.

berto landing some bombs late in the 6th.

Berto is doing better and better as the fight goes on. RG takes a heck of a shot. He doesn't want to eat too many more. RG wants to get control of the action again.

I have given Berto 2 rounds. There was a 3rd round that was competitive.
Berto hurt again in 7th. RG not letting him out of the corner.

RG didn't look good in round 9. Eating heavy uppercuts.

ooooh RG said he can't see out of his right eye. Both guys look blind.

It wasn't just Roy that was commenting on the way the fight went/was going. Our own captainanddew saw it the same way and so did I, I copied and pasted his posts in the order that they were posted. That was a surprising fight for many different reasons. I think it's unfair to give Roy shit about the way he called that fight. He called it a lot of people saw it.
