el terrible fails to make the weight

lightweight champion Erik Morales has lost his 140lb title on the scale. Even a few days ago it was known he was struggling to make weight and after weighing in at 142 he immediately drank water and left 30 minutes later.

Thats kinda surprising.

He should have lost his license along with his trinket. Lopez get's suspended because of comments. Yet this fool blatantly doesn't make his contracted weight? That shows he is no longer a proffessional, and should not be granted a pro license to box.

Absolutely. He looks pudgy and out of shape. He's getting a million dollars for this. Basically telling us fans and the sport to fuck off, this last tour of his was his pension fund. Castillo should also be banned and never granted a license for his actions. Either that or have a tournament with Morales, Castillo, Joan Guzman and Nate Cambell for the ICMW(I Can't Make Weight) Light Welterweight? Title.

Boxing killing itself again. This wouldn't happen on same day weigh ins. Day before weigh ins allows fighter to be less disciplined IMO.

There just needs to be heavy punishment. Lose your licences for a year(since fighters are so damn in-active) and have to pay for the entire cost of the cancelled fight because they couldn't make weight.

If they did that the promoters would lose because the fighters wouldn't/couldn't pay. A better way would be to make them fight for nothing. Completely obliterate their purse. If there is a demand he'll fight again for the right money but this past year was his retirement fund.

Just beat them mercilessly lol. There is no perfect way to penalize these guys especially for a guy like Morales who could fight in Mexico if he's banned in the states. This is why we haven't seen stiffer penalties I guess.

No. If he had them removed, he should have had weight loss. BUT, he got them in first place you can bet because all the rapid weight losses to make weight. That's the biggest way to get gallstones.

Just a case where his age won't allow him to cut weight rapidly like he use too before weigh in. And he just doesn't give a fuck anymore.

I meant that he couldn't train as hard because of the surgery he had.

hardcore good points on same day weigh inns.it will reduce this junk a lot because fighters would be forced to fight in there true class.
