So consensus is JMM should have won or at the least got a draw. According to Boxinglawyer, these guys must be idiots.

By no means did Pac deserve a UD

I remember in the second fight, almost everyone had Marquez winning on the unofficial scorecards. This one was a little closer. It depends on how you judge. It was basically Pacquiaos Aggression vs Marquezs' Effective Punching. I liked Marquezs' clean punching, and like another poster said, yes Pacquaio was more aggressive, but it wasnt all that effective. Marquez was more effective in what he was doing.

Khan said on his Twitter after the fight that ex boxers should judge fights. That a former fighter would know what to look for and not fall for the flash.

At this point, why not.

How exactly do you go about becoming a judge in the first place?

For the record I had it 6-6, my dad had it 7-5 JMM.

This was the only fight that Pac landed more punches. The other two Marquez landed more. The first fight I had Pac winning, the second fight I had a draw and this fight I had Marquez so go figure.

Pacquaio and Marquez fight in almost even terms every time. I had Marquez winning in all 3 fights. Its those kinda fights where all scorecards will look different because people prefer a different aspect in judging rounds. I personally like when fighters land the clean punches. Marquez has landed the cleaner punches in all the fights, so its the reason I give him more of the close rounds than I do Pacquiao.

i think that we all think its a robbery because about 95% of people think that either marquez won or it was at least a draw, yet two people out of that 5% group ended up scoring the fight. go figure.

Amir Kahn is among those that think that his friend, Pac, lost. He also thinks Roach was thinking that his fighter lost.

from boxingscene:

Amir Khan: Marquez Beat Pacquiao By One or Two Points
Posted by: Chris LaBate on 11/14/2011 .

By Chris LaBate

WBA/IBF junior welterweight champion Amir Khan was sitting ringside on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He watched Manny Pacquiao retain his WBO welterweight title with a twelve round majority decision win over Juan Manuel Marquez. The scores being 114-114, 115-113 and 116-112.

Khan and Pacquiao are good friends, and both boxers are trained by Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Gym, but that didn't stop Amir from scoring the fight in favor of Marquez.

"It was a close fight. You could see Marquez had done his homework and knew what he needed to do. When they went into the last round, I thought Marquez was going to win and Manny's trainer Freddie Roach thought the same. I thought Marquez won it by one or two rounds. But I'm pleased for Manny because he is a stablemate and a good friend," Khan said.

115-113 either way or 114-114 seems about right to me.
