GAMBOA GETS NEW TRAINER

rumor is manny stewart will be gamboas new trainer.i view it as possitive.any thoughts on this.can manny fine tune this fighter.

Ugh. I dont like the idea. I think something is up with Manny right now. Two elite fighters just dropped him and also his jab, jab, jab, jab style of training is not what Gamboa needs.

I think the problem is more with mentally weak fighters unable to handle a tough coach than it is with Manny. I don't think he will be a good fit for Gamboa, Freddie would actually be a great trainer for him, if his hands weren't already full with Pac and Khan.

we will see i guess. i dont know if his training style is right for gamboa but a great trainer can help most fighters.

It won't work unless Gamboa is willing to fully commit to the Kronk camp.

strange pairing. Manny has had the most success over the past decade with tall guys who work behind the jab then straight right/left.

He had Naz whose a similar guy (small electric fighter). I can't remember when Manny got him though but I think he was with him in the end which isn't a good sign for Gamboa. I think more than anything Gamboa just needs structure and help with pacing. He can already fight.
