UPDATE: Cloud vs Erdei
The card would be a co-promotion between Don King, who promotes Cloud and Bundrage, and Lou DiBella who promotes Erdei and co-promotes Latimore with Steve Smith's Rumble Time Promotions.
The likely landing place for the fight is Latimore's hometown of St. Louis, MO. When Latimore faced Cory Spinks in 2009 in a battle for hometown bragging rights (in addition to the then vacant IBF junior middleweight strap), nearly 10,000 fans showed up.
St. Louis native Ryan Coyne (18-0), who is ranked #7 by the WBA in the light heavyweight division is also likely to appear on the card. Coyne is also promoted by Don King and is a big ticket seller in his hometown.
Our sources say that the fights are far from finalized but that the talks are ongoing.

On New Year's Eve? I try to go to every card I can in STL but I will have to think about this one. I have wanted Erdei in a real fight, Cloud is fun to watch, and Latimore is fun to watch. Coyne better hope he looks better at 175 because he was pretty weak at 200.

Cloud vs Erdei would be a solid fight, I'd like to see it. If I was K9, I'd try to cash out on a Canelo fight. He isnt that good to keep his title for too long.

Re: UPDATE: Cloud vs Erdei
They should have the fight on Boxing Day. Don King could play that up to the fullest.

Re: UPDATE: Cloud vs Erdei
Promoter Lou DiBella has advised BoxingScene.com that a verbal agreement has been reached for a clash between undefeated two division champion Zsolt Erdei (33-0, 18KOs) and IBF light heavyweight king Tavoris Cloud (23-0, 19KOs). Contracts have not been signed but the fight is going to take place on December 31st, with Showtime televising. A few locations are being considered to stage the fight. DiBella has not received confirmation regarding the other possible fights on the show.

I think I'm going with Erdei and Rigondeaux.

Tavoris Cloud Doesn't Believe Erdei Suffered Hand Injury
Tavoris Cloud doesn’t believe Zsolt Erdei ever suffered the hand injury that Erdei said caused him to withdraw from their scheduled Dec. 31 light heavyweight title fight in Anaheim, Calif.
“When I heard the fight was cancelled because Zsolt Erdei had a hand injury,” Cloud said, “the first thing I thought was, ‘Bullsh*t!’ You know? He didn’t hurt his hand. He didn’t want to fight. He ain’t prepared to fight. And he’s looking for a way out. And so he went to Germany, where nobody could see him and he claimed an injury. That was the end of that.”
“I was depressed about [Erdei’s withdrawal], but I got over that,” Cloud, 30, said. “We got another fight. We got Gabriel Campillo. He stepped up to the plate. I’m glad he did, but I’m just here to do my job and take out anybody they put in front of me. I’m not going to over-think the situation. My goal right now is to get into the ring on the 18th and do my job and defend my title and go home to my wife and kids.”
