-There are serious discussions for a bout between WBA jr. midd titlist, Austin Trout and Delvin Rodriguez for late November, I'm told
-Im told that they are hopeful that Trout-D-Rod can get on HBO on a 'BAD' card in November

As an opening fight for a BAD card this is good.I know they're not thinking main event.

I agree
Trout has been fighting in Mexico so maybe it opens up for Kirkland vs Angulo

If Kirkland goes in the ring with Angulo then Mad Max 3 rules apply. 2 men enter, one man leaves. And it won't be Kirkland leaving the ring under his own powers.

Trout vs. D. Rodriguez on June 2 Showtime Mega-Card?
Austin Trout could be defending his junior-middleweight title against Delvin Rodriguez on the June 2 quadruple-header to be aired on Showtime, according to a source with one fighter’s camp who is not yet authorized to speak publicly about the fight.
Showtime is airing four fights that night, only two of which have been announced: Antonio Tarver against Lateef Kayode in a cruiserweight bout, and Peter Quillin vs. Winky Wright, according to Dan Rafael of ESPN.com. The card will take place at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.
Network spokesman Chris DeBlasio told BoxingScene.com that he could not confirm whether Trout-Rodriguez will be part of the broadcast.
“We do not have anything official on the two ‘other’ fights for June 2,” DeBlasio said via email.
If it becomes official, however, Trout, who recently signed with adviser Al Haymon, would be joining two other Haymon clients on the card — Tarver and Quillin.
Trout won the vacant World Boxing Association belt in February 2011 with a decision win over Rigoberto Alvarez. He’s defended it twice since then, out-pointing David Lopez in June and stopping Frank LoPorto in November. The 26-year-old is 24-0 with 14 knockoiuts.
Rodriguez, meanwhile, is coming off a December decision win over Pawel Wolak in a rematch of their stellar fight from earlier that year. The 31-year-old is 26-5-3 with 14 knockouts.
