Humberto Soto wants to move to Jr Welterweight

WBC lightweight champion Humberto Soto (56-7-2, 32 KOs) is looking for bigger challenges at a bigger weight. The Mexican champion made the fourth defense of his title on Saturday night with a lopsided ten round technical decision over Japanese challenger Motoki Sasaki (36-9, 23 KOs). After the match, Soto said "I'm going to move up to junior welterweight." Soto wants to target some of lucrative names at the weight - like Amir Khan, Erik Morales, Timothy Bradley, Marcos Maidana, Devon Alexander and several others.

Makes no sense, there is plenty fights at Lightweight.

Soto's beginning to piss me off, had the Antillon rematch lined up and bailed for no reason.

He's going to move up to 140 just to fight Junior Witter, Chop Chop, and Paul McCloskey. What a waste Soto has been.
