Solis 247
A lot better than 270. He's still 20 pounds over weight. 6'1, he should be 220 tops

Re: Solis 247
247 yes is an improvement but still yep a good 20-25 pounds to much.yes as a amatuer he was 200-201 or so and filling out by 20 pounds can be expected.anything beyound that is a handicap i feel.takes away some speed and endurance which both are needed in his case to pull out a win..

I just don't get it, you get the opportunity to fight for a HW world title and you come in with a beer gut.
Solis and Arreola are pathetic. Do you know Solis is almost 50lb's heavier than his amateur days.

Difference in dedication and mentality. Once Solis left Cuba he couldn't control his hunger for western food.

Re: Solis 247
247 is still way too much for Solis. he won't be mobile enough to get out the way of Klitschko's unorthodox punches. Vitali throws upto 80 per round and they come from all over the place. Solis has got that to deal with and also he has a 6 inch height difference to deal with and then the reach difference.
Solis plods forward just like Arreola with perhaps a little extra lateral movement. Solis doesn't look in an athletic enough condition to cause the upset in my opinion. the guy that beats Vitali is somebody that can bob, weave and shorten the distance between them quickly. Solis doesn't look in the condition to do that.
British Olympic medalist David Price who has been sparring with Solis (Price is 6'8) in his preparation to face Vitali stated "at times i thought he was one of the very best, then at other times it felt like i was World class and he was very ordinary"...... that doesn't sound good coming from a less than 10 fight pro that has been his sparring partner for the last 6 weeks. i think it says a lot perhaps about Solis' dedication. if you're training for a World Title opportunity then you have to train consistently hard. it's no good having your sparring partners thinking you look very ordinary.
247lb is still way too much weight for Solis, 9 of his 17 professional career fights have been fought at around this weight. if Solis had come in at 235lb then perhaps i would think he has a shot, as it is he is still not in prime condition and all he has achieved in training in shedding the excess weight what was already on top of his excess weight. i don't think he has the speed and mobility to pull off the win

At 6'1, he should be 215-220 to be in top condition for a fight like this. Big George at 6'3 was 218 in his prime. So don't tell me Solis is thicker than Foreman who was built like a bear

Unless this is the fight where the wheels fall off for Vitali, Klitschko by KO. Age or injury are the only things that will stop Vitali.

I hate today's HWs more than The Klits. I still think The Klits are good/not great HWs in a terrible era of HWs

Re: Solis 247
Wlad comes in around 240 or so. Vitali 245-250. 2 big motherfuckers. Then all these guys 3-4 inches shorter weigh the same amount. I guess they think the extra 20-30 pounds of pure fat is going to help them. Damn they are dumb.

he should go back to eating. There is some time before the hot dog contest on July 4th. He seems to have potential in eating. Boxing? Not so much.
