The Ring got Cotto at 3rd, Fat Dan got Cott at 2nd. Boxrec got Cotto at # 1.

I don't care if Mayorga gets a highlight reel knockout, he's not the 2nd best in the division !

Cotto done well against Foreman but he isn't exactly an elite Jr Middleweight.

There's not realy any elite at Jr middle though. Cintron is ranked at # 1, which is fair.

Cintron vs Cotto would be a solid fight. Especialy if it cowned a new Jr Middle Champ

If Mayorga wins I'd have no problem with him cracking the top ten, but beating Cotto doesn't warrant a top five place even if the division is weak.

I wasn't asking if MAyorga should be ranked 2nd. I was asking if Cotto should if beats Mayorga. He's currently ranked at 3rd.

All good. Normaly I'd say Cotto and Angulo should fight it out for 2nd spot. But considering Angulo situation, and the fact he probably won't be fighting anyone anytime soon, I say a win for Cotto should move him to 2nd spot

the ratings 2 or 3 im not concerened about.cottos in the mix..if cotto wins id love to see a cotto-angulo matchup or a cotto-williams fight at 154..down the line the winner meeting kirkland if he can get things back in order..

in 6-7 months you can add a citron-kirkland at 154 to thoses fights and that division could skyrocket with excitement.

Cotto and Cintron should have fought before now. Both guys have faced very good competition but never each other. It would be an intriguing fight.

that should be at least 12 months out. He hasn't fought for 2 years!!!! He hadn't faced a single top guy when he was fighting. He has a new trainer. They need to line him up for 3 fights in 7-8 months against increasing competition. Then maybe early next year he'll be ready to face the elite guys at 154 (Cintron, Cotto, Angulo).

I've thought about this for some time. I could definitely see Cotto-Cintron going down in the winter for the Ring Belt. This would at least make a Pac fight interesting if the Bobfather decided to have Pac-Cotto 2. I would favor Pac to win it and have 5 lineal titles from 112 to 154. Bob may screw us over but he is very good at what he does.

I really hope Cintron vs Cotto happens now that Top Rank are co promoting Kermit, personally I'd rather see it happen than the Margarito rematch but I understand that's a big payday for Top Rank and HBO.
