WBC orders rematch of Pascal vs Hopkins
I really wonder if the filthy WBC would have ordered a rematch if Pascal were the challenger and Hopkins the champ.
Hopefully Pascal drops the worthless WBC trinket in the trash like Bowe did and honours his contract against Dawson.
Hopkins is already saying he'll never go to Quebec again, so fuck him. I truly doubt Pascal is interested in fighting in an indian casino in the states in front of a crowd of 900 people. Hopkins is a bitch.

Re: WBC orders rematch of Pascal vs Hopkins
actually, no he's not. he didn't win. the scores were perfectly acceptable. Hopkins is the challenger. he can't draw flies to shit. he has absolutely no leverage to make demands. says he won't fight in Quebec again.
Pascal is the champion of the world. retains his championship with the draw(I had him winning the fight)... sells out arenas...and can tell the corrupt WBC to screw themselves, as he'll be the legit world champion with or without their worthless trinket.

Re: WBC orders rematch of Pascal vs Hopkins
I have no problem with a rematch, but not on Hopkins' terms, and not on the puke-provoking WBC's terms. If hopkins is going to be a crybaby bitch-which he is- and refuse to come to the champs turf to do it, then to hell with him. It's not like Hopkins can draw 16000 to a neutral venue.
I'm tired of hopkins crying robbery. He was not robbed.
and Pascal already has a contractual obligation to rematch dawson first.

Typical Canvas, all kissing butt to the non US fighter. Course you had Pascal winning
Pascal got outworked and out punched by 46 year old Hopkins. Pascal landed more significant punches in only 3 rounds, after that Hops landed the more significant ones to the body that took the fight out of Pascal.
Yeah, Pascal sure looked like The Champ at the end of the 12th round as he was cowering in his corner.
Funny, where was your anger at Froch bitching about only fighting in nuetral sites after he lost to Kessler.

Grant sometimes I'm embarrassed for you. I have no idea what you are trying to get at with the Froch comment. I don't even think you were on this forum at that time.... If you were, you would know I did critisize Froch over his demands quite a bit, which I'm sure Ali could verify for you.

I could not care less what the WBC says or does. I was embarassed for Showtime in that they didn't emphasize that this was for the TRUE 175 title.
I'd like to see this matchup again. BHOP really turned back the clock.

Hauser reporting that Hopkins got robbed, stating a Champ doesn't retain his title winning just tree rounds.

Hopkins deserves a rematch. He really won the fight and even 1 of the judges gave it to him. None gave it to Pascal.

Re: WBC orders rematch of Pascal vs Hopkins
i had pascal winning just 3 rounds also like that reporter did..hopkins SHOULD of won his second real lineal lightheavyweight title...i have to praise the canadian crowd.16000 strong and a cheering excited crowd.montreol quebec etc etc are great fight cities.last night reminded me of the garden in years past..a heavy pasqual crowd yes but many started around rd 8 to yell hopkins hopkins.it showed they appreciated what he did..at 46 it was incredible..
hopkins controled the real estate last night.threw and landed more punches and every one was effective.excellent body work and good combinations and the best jab bo hop has displayed in years..he shocked us all by not clinching .he tossed one low blow that i saw.he made it an exciting fight which nooo one expected.
pascal reminded me of a guy wanting to be awarded his doctorate by submiting a 5 page thesis..hes that incomplete of a fighter..instead of having a good body attack apliying constant pressure and a steady constant work rate which should of been some of his keyes to victory..instead it was bo hop who did that.he controled the pace of the fight not pasqual..
the skill levels were miles apart last night..
did the wbc actualy order a rematch.if soo if i were bo hop id go back there and fight with a big crowd cheering.he has to look at it IF pascal did not score 2 unimpressive knockdowns then every judge would of given bo hop the win dispite a home town huge advantage..his reaction last night was refelecting his disappointment immdeiately..after he thinks about go back and clean this guys clock.if hopkins has one more fight like this left in him i think he can stop pascal..more body work load up that right hand after the jab and do it early..it will make pasqual thing not once or twice but 3 times.it will alow hopkins agai9n to control the pace of the fight and the body work which hurt pascal will slow him up and weaken him.one guy has the skill level to execute the other does not..
im not a hopkins fan.never was.never will be.but you have to respect and admire what he did last night ..and at 46 it was special.

Re: WBC orders rematch of Pascal vs Hopkins
If there is a rematch, Hops ain't going back to Canada. Don't give me Pascal is The Champ. He kept his title by default.
No doubt HBO will pick the fight up if there is a rematch. Have it in Philly. It'd draw a good crowd. See how Pascal The Champ handles a crowd against him.
BTW, people saying Ward needs to fight out his town, so does Pascal. All his fights been in Canada except two, and he's 1-1 with that. Last time fought outside of Canada, he lost to Froch.

Hauser's rant and score were out to lunch. Cliff Rold scored it a sensible 113-113 draw.

Too bad the WBC seems oblivious to the contractual rematch Pascal needs to give Dawson.

Does anyone know if Dawson asked for a rematch yet??? I don't recall hearing a word out of him or his camp yet. They have had enough time. Disregard the damn contract.
Dawson vs Pascal was a pretty good fight. Line up the rematch for March. Let Dawson comeback and fight a lesser fighter and get his confidence back. Then he can exercise the rematch clause.

As usual he's sitting twiddling his thumbs waiting for a tv date. Boxing is so messed up right now it ain't even funny.

He can't draw anyone. He fights with no passion. He never built a regional/local base. Adamek has the right model for a top 10 guy. Fighting often. Fighting without regard to tv dates. He has a base and he draws to Newark whether or not HBO or Showtime want the fight. is Adamek good enough to beat either Klit? NO. Is he trying to be at his best by being active against varied competition? Yes.

I think Hauser blew it calling the second round for BHOP and the twelfth, while close, was won, in my view by Pascal's counterpunching.

Re: WBC orders rematch of Pascal vs Hopkins
The score cards were legit IMO, no hometown cooking. This fight was close and I had it a draw, but if anyone should have won it, it should have been B-Hop. B-Hop looked amazing, take away the KDs and he dominated. I believe those KDs were as legit as they come. The first KD was a shot to the ear and the second hit B-Hop in the face. He lost both those rounds at 10-8. This may have beeen B-Hops most entertaining fight ever and a lot of credit to Pascal because he made both B-Hop and Dawson watchable for back to back fights. However, Pascal does come out the loser with the draw, and The Legend of B-Hop continues.GrantZilla wrote:Hauser reporting that Hopkins got robbed, stating a Champ doesn't retain his title winning just tree rounds.

Seriously....when you're that happy with a draw, you know you lost that fight. Just the fact that Hop had one card with him winning & two draws, he should have some say in the rematch negotiations. But I will say this......this kind of fight deserves a 13th round!!!!!!!!!Canvas wrote:Hauser's rant and score were out to lunch. Cliff Rold scored it a sensible 113-113 draw.

what would having a 13th round change?? you can still have fights with draws based on there being knockdowns in the fight. a 13th round doesn't solve the problem to draws happening. sometimes thats just the way it is

Who is "that happy with a draw" ? Who are you talking about ? I don't think Pascal was happy to have a draw.

B: Pascal and or Non B-Hop fans didn't seem too upset either.
C: I think a 13th round in Title fights would settle a lot of things. It works in every other sport. Even wrestling has overtime & tie breakers. Why not Boxing?

In my view it is simply too dangerous given the nature of the sport. Two exhausted guys sell out in the final round of a close fight, then there's a five minute break while cards are tabulated and the ring is full of people and then we're gonna go one more? Somebody is gonna get hurt.
Draws don't bother me.

Re: WBC orders rematch of Pascal vs Hopkins
bullshit Hopkins cant draw anything
all I heard was a bunch of canadians yelling "HOPKINS HOPKINS HOPKINS HOPKINS" the entire fight, Pascal looked like he wanted to cry when the decision was announced, he got embarrassed by a 45 year old man on his turf, and no one thought he won
Hopkins won 8 or 9 rounds easy
