So now been Clottey, totaly shot MArgoCheato, and now grandpa Mosley

The Pacquiao-Mayweather fight(?) is the only one that matters.

Whom would you rather see him fight? (No PBF comments necessary)

Did you see his fight against # 22 ranked Roberto Garcia?

It was a tune up after a year lay off.

Margs got a beat down by Mosley, and looked like shit against Garcia. He was mentaly and likely physicaly finished.
I'm more accepting of that fight though, even though I found disgusting giving this crook a payday when he should be in jail.
But no exscuse for Clottey and Mosley. I like how Roach was all shocked that Clottye didn't let his hands go. Ok, there Roach. You knew that's how Clottey is

Seems like we're getting a re-cycling of old shopworn fighters.Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any young guys who can give them a retirement party.(beating)

The Mosley fight is a joke, it's just another example of why Bob Arum needs to retire.

Don't worry, this fight will come back and bite Arum and Team Pac in the ass if it happens.
PAc-Mosley will under perform big time. It won't even sniff a million buys.
This huge mistake because pretty much shoot any kind leverage they want for 50/50 cut if MAyweather fight happens. Not when Mayweather against Mosley did 1.4 million buys.
People saw how old Mosley looked against Mayweather, add on the terrible Mora fight, and this fight going to get horrible press.
Huge mistake on Team Pac's part.

I think you'll be right Grant, I have seen very little fans who are happy about the choice of Mosley.

It'll sell.
ask any 10 people who claim to be boxing fans who andre Berto is, 9 of the 10 will say "who?"
ask the same people who Mosley is, three or four of them will say "Mosley, yeah I know him, didn't he fight Delahoya?"
I can tell you with near-certainty the vast majority of the jam packed sports bar where I saw PacBoy vs 'cheato were cheering wildly for Pac, and almost none of them were even moderately knowledgeable boxing fans.

Arum isnt the only one who wants Shane, the PPV outlets would rather see him than Berto for that reason
Even Arum likes the Berto offer bc its so low, but there's no doubt that Shane is the bigger name

I'm not happy about Mosley being chosen over JMM, but I understand what Arum is thinking.

Money wise you can't go wrong with these fights. Mosley generates the most money compared to Berto and Marquez priced himself out wanting twice as much as he made against Floyd.

Mosley a bigger name, a name most people saw get his ass handed to him by Mayweather and looking like an old man. A name that looked like total shit against Mora.
Most people will associate Mosley with being shot.
Not to mention the media will be very negative about this fight.
I gurantee you this fight doesn't come close to a million buys.

I dont buy that, 24/7, Top Rank knows how to promote, Shane is a known name, and its set on a big sports weekend
It will sell
Hopkins vs Roy Jones did 150k buys, people still buy'em man
Arum is on point
As for Berto, Arum said his offer was "the most reasonable. He came in below everybody and he would be an excellent, excellent opponent. But his promoter [Lou DiBella] got to get out and promote him so he has a persona and that if we put him in with Pacquiao people don't say, 'Who the hell is that?' "
Mosley is the most well-known of the three, but has shown significant signs that he is near the end.
"He's the guy everybody knows, the pay-per-view guys, the casinos, the foreign television. Sugar Shane resonates," Arum said. "The downside is he has two bad performances, but he's still Sugar Shane. With Shane, there's room to make an adjustment, a little tweak here or there, and I'm sure we could get it done."

REALLY unfair in my view. Clottey was a top five guy in Mannys tenth division. Margarito looked to me like the same guy (more or less) who beat Cotto when he was a top five p4p guy.
The Shane fight I am not a fan off. But I really have a hard time complaining about Manny's choices at this point. Is this a big fight? Nope. But isn't Manny entitled to a tuneup at some point?

I'm not saying it won't get decent to good numbers, but it won't come close to a million PPV buys, let alone 1.4 million which Mayweather got against Mosley.
With that, Team Pac can kiss off wanting 50/50 if a Mayweather fight happens.
I'm guessing it will get no more then 700-800 PPV buys. Which sitll good.
However, with Berto, it'll get good numbers just because of PAc, and Team Pac can claim they carried that fight all on their own, which be the truth.

If your pointis that this is an example of a non-big fight being positioned as a big fight? Completely agree.
