Seriously, 1.50 mill bucks Arum spent on Pac-Margs for only 300k viwers? Highest 731,000 viwers.

Oscar-Mayweather got 4 million viewers.

It's pointless to keep doing 24/7 on same fucking fighters like Pac and Mayweather. If they do, it's dead and a waste of money

How can it be dead when it helped drive another million buy PPV?

That has as much to do with Pac being a cross over success, and Margs being in the news

24/7 is great TV; I agree it can get old following the same fighters but I wouldn't want the series to stop. You never know what the future will bring and once a show like that goes off the air it rarely comes back.

It also helped drive the storyline that Manny was distracted and this beast of a beaner had a shot because he was in such great shape

They really just sold you the Rocky 3 storyline, Pac being in congress could fall victim to his own celebrity and lose to a mean motherfucker like Margarito.

Thoses shots of Margarito hitting the heavy bag, sledge hammer on a tire, talking shit, made people buy into this being a compelling fight

Shit, look at Ali and his posts leading up to the fight lol

I much prefer fight camp 360. If CBS showed fight camp 360, it would be a huge boost to boxing.

I prefer Fight Camp and Countdown more as well. If I was a promoter, instead wasting 1.50 mill on a 24/7 where only 300k people are watching it, I'd do a Countdown like show, and sell it to major network, or even ESPN.

Even if I had to buy the time slot to put it on, and then set up packaging deal to advertisers to regroup some of the money back. And I'd make it available online, which HBO is horribly gay with. I I'd put on Utube myself. Where HBO will have it shutdown on UTube and other sites for copyright infringment. Come on! It's a fucking inforcommercial to sell a PPV for christ sake. And HBO isn't even paying for 24/7!

24/7 has become stale, it's edited too much and nothing interesting ever happens.

Fight Camp 360 is ten times better because they don't edit out all the juicy stuff like the promoters squabbling, and they also pressed Dirrell about his mythical injury.

And it doesn't cover the same two fighters, Pac and Mayweather.

it isn't dead, but everyone is on point in that it needs to see different fighters. It would be smart for them to do lower budget versions for regular HBO fights. If Lopez vs Gamboa got signed, why not do one 30 minute one?

A big problem is there is the same fighters over and over now. BHOP said in an interview on a boxing show I listened to on BBC radio that there are older fighters that are the belt holding the sport up (belt and pants analogy). I am of the opinion that the older guard need to get out and quit sucking up all the oxygen in the room.

They are suppose to do a countdown show for Bradley vs Alexander, that def helps

I enjoy those 30 min promos a lot more than 24/7
Taylor vs Pavlik, MAB vs Morales are classic

You guys have to admit, 24/7 isnt aimed at fans like us, its for the casual person to get them to buy the fight

I'll never forget that scene from the Pac vs Hatton 24/7 where the camera just happened to move away from the ring as Hatton dropped K9 Laughing
