RIP Tommy Morrison

One of my favorite fighters ever. This man was one hell of a HW.      

Dougie Fisher put it well when he said something along the lines of, "you would get him or he would get you." Good puncher but a little vulnerable. Made for some good fights and lost alot of his career because of HIV.

Tommy was always really exciting. I"ll miss him. R.I.P.

Anyone hear the cause of death yet?

According to the death certificate of Tommy Morrison, the 44-year-old boxer who tested positive for HIV in 1996 died of cardiac arrest on Sunday.

TMZ has the full document if you want to look, but the immediate cause of death was listed as cardiac arrest, as a consequence of multiple organ failure, septic shock, and pseudomonas aeruginosa septicemia. TMZ points out that AIDS or HIV isn't mentioned anywhere on the certificate, but one of the possible predisposing conditions for pseudomonas aeruginosa septicemia is immunodeficiency relating to AIDS.

Morrison's body has already been cremated without an autopsy performed, according to the cert

morrison denied for years that HIV and AIDS were real. It is one thing to say you don't have HIV. It is another to pretend it doesn't exist.
