salido led with his head hard with that butt. im not surprised it broke garcias nose.

Wow. I don't think I have ever seen an ending like that. I really don't think a fighter should be able to quit just because they have a broken nose, whether or not you are dominating a fight. I think this could set a bad precedent for future boxing matches. It just put a bad ending on such a dominant show by Garcia.

garcia is very well spoken. i like how he told gamboa that he will move up to fight him. garcia is a solid fighter

i think that it was the doctor that stopped the fight. and its not his fault that his nose got broken. it was a foul and he got a broken nose. i have no problem with the decision to stop the fight.

I don't know man. I don't see how it was impossible for him to continue to fight with a broken nose. How often will we see in the future a fighter say their nose is broken to get a fight to go to the score card. Like I said Garcia dominated the fight, I'm more concerned for the precedent this sets going forward.

garcia 79-69.total domination.the headbutt i dont feel was accidental.this sets no president for its no different then a headbutt causing a cut that goes to the scorecards.

It just seems to me a broken nose can be more subjective than a cut. For example you can't really tell how much any given broken nose is effecting a certain fighters ability to breath, where as a cut you can plainly see how much it is effecting the fighters vision. It just feels to me that it could be used as a cop out in future fights, seeing as fighters have been able to influence whether or not a doctor stops a fight by what they say to the doctor.

a fighter cant fool a dr saying hes got a broken nose.breathing problems arise as well as blood going down the nasal passage way causing more problems.the dr by examing the nose can reasonably determine the damage and effect.surely we can not award a tko win to the guy causing the foul.in this case i feel it was intentional.
i dont forsee guys saying i cant go on because of a broken nose caused by a foul as a copout.go to the scorecards..example of a different nature is a guy gets hit by a bad hard low blow.he can take up to 5 minutes to recoup.if he says after the 5 minutes i cant go on its going to the scorecards.there will be no surge of fighters miss usuing the rules which are fair.nor has there been a history of fighters in numbers saying i cant go on after a low blow..the rule is fare and you dont award a win by tko ever to the guy that commited the foul.

I had Garcia-Salido the same way. I had Golovkin winning every round but I probably should've thrown in a 10-8 round in somewhere. I had Burgos winning 116-112 so a little closer than others.
