Merchant would like to see Pac vs. Rios

Spoke to my man Larry Merchant today. I asked who, as a fan, he would like to see #pacquiao fight next. He picked Brandon Rios

so we get the smaller but not shot version of margarito.
don't really see the point until Rios proves himself at 140 and above.

I'm with Larry. I'd love to see that fight. It has blood written all over it......in blood.

Larry is a pacboy nuthugger. Matthysse vs PAC is a way better match up. Rips vs PAC would be similar to PAC vs David Diaz.

Let's see Rios earn it or at least act like a professional. He was just gifted a decision in his last fight and all of a sudden he can beat Pac?

the thing about Rios people keep forgetting is the Miguel Acosta fight. In round 4 or 5, it looked like Rios was not going to be able to keep taking the shots.
Let Pac land those kind of shots for 4-5 rounds and Rios won't be standing, or will be very weakened.. Even the Pac of the last few fights is a much bigger puncher than Acosta.

Pac's declined enough to make it slightly competitive.

I think it would be a fun fight to watch for however long it takes Pac to get him out of there but there is NO WAY that I want to see Rios rewarded for his recent actions. It was the same reason I was against the Bradley fight. I actually thought Bradley was going to be very competitive with Pac but I didn't want to see him get the fight after ducking Khan.
