SHOCKING PUBLIC REACTION TO THE FIGHT.
ive read comments in ring mag by hundreds of posters on eastside boxing on artcles on the net with there comments and heres my finding thats consistant with all articles.1.a huge majority felt it was a robbery.i dismiss the trolls and internet assholes who thought bradley won especialy thoses that said he won with ease.2.hatred for top rank runs so deep it even surprized me.bob arum is repulsive looking indeed .his face and smirk is saturated with aloofness and arragance.with that being said and some reasons for dislike a huge huge 80 percent or better outright hate him and top rank.and its big time deep.15 percent mearly dislike him a lot.3. a massive majority feel arum had this fight fixed.and that he regularly fixes fights.the reason for this fix was to avoid a mayweather fight.his greed.there not just saying that they actualy believe that stuff.top rank is the evil empire and whats wrong with boxing.4.folks said they will never buy another ppv...i hope they dont.its one statement i strongly agree on.its spoiled fighters and the game big time.5.folks actualy think that fight two will sell..i think it disappoints money wise.6. folks say there done with boxing.i think some of them will stay true to that statement.
the fix was in .the fix was in.arum fixed the fight..even teddy the asshole atlas implied this...can this be possible.look.lets say he gives 20 large to two judges.ok.pac can still win by a ko.of course arum wins either way.but to avoid a floyd fight.please.to subject himself to blackmail.to risk jail..i realy dont know..then we got the rios fight.a fix to insure a marquez-rios fight.maybe.marquez fucked that up..a fix with the pac fight to also avoid a marquez fight since he fucked bob..there are to many folks a large majority that believe this.i dont but i got my doubts now.7.all say boxing has another black eye and turning fans away..amost all.i agree..
im still shocked at my findings.

Yeah I have always been a boxing fan and maybe I always will but damn when do we say enough is enough? This is one of those times that the sport lost a ton of fans.
Re: SHOCKING PUBLIC REACTION TO THE FIGHT.
andre ward's reaction to me was telling. He fought Bradley in the amateurs and said they were friends or friendly (which would make sense since both are california guys), and sorry but Bradley didn't win that fight.

Re: SHOCKING PUBLIC REACTION TO THE FIGHT.
dmar, how you doin pal? I was trying to think of what upside Arum would have to pull this crap.
Having a loss on the record of your top guy seems like a weird move to orchestrate. But then no one really considered it a loss, so...
In a way, it makes sense. After Bradley who was he gonna fight? This is one way to manufacture a reason to fight Bradley again and like you said, it does ice Marquez out for the time being.
And there was something about his over-the-top disgust that reeked of reverse psychology tactics, like "no one will think I'm involved if I act really pissed." But man, I really hope that's not the case.

I'm glad you enjoy it. And Capt, I always liked talking fights with you too. You guys are giving me motivation. Sometimes, I don't even know for sure if anyone is reading any of it. Now that I know that some of you guys are, that's enough reason for me to find it worthwhile.
And no, I don't have a twitter account. I'm always behind the times. I just disconnected my Atari 2600 a few weeks ago.

Hey BTW I am not sure how it works when you write an article but if you let us know we can put it up on the board. Maybe post it on our home page then provide a link. Not sure if you get in trouble for stuff like that.ScottLevinson wrote:captainanddew wrote:ScottLevinson wrote:Soonermark890 wrote:Scott congrats on how well you have been doing. People who say they are "done with boxing" in the user comments section are people who don't watch boxing.

Thanks, man. I'm not sure how that works, either. But let me try to figure it out. I appreciate the support Mark.

Yeah please do check. I would rather support you than any of these other boxing writers who are not even fans of the sport.ScottLevinson wrote:Soonermark890 wrote:Hey BTW I am not sure how it works when you write an article but if you let us know we can put it up on the board. I watch as much boxing as I can and will continue to; but this kind of thing is what makes it so frustrating and difficult to sell the sport to anyone who isn't already a die-hard fan. I have a hard enough time trying to get any of my friends to give a shit about the sport when it seems to try it's damnedest to be utterly inaccessible.
You need a frigging decoder ring to figure out who the Champ is; half the fights this year have been cancelled; heavyweights (the only division that traditionally attracts causal fans) are horrible; and of the two most popular fighters in the world one just got robbed and the other one is in a jail!
I might not yet be "done with boxing" but I can sure as hell understand those who say they are.
