is HBO going to approve Vazquez? kind of doubt it.
Thasthe best available opponent and is not a bad fighter. He's probably the best lightweight IMO

he is a good lightweight.

But if he isn't already training, he isn't likely to accept it on 10 days notice.

Hey- You have 10 days to get ready to fight; and um, you have to fight at 140 against Amir Kahn. Some tough fringe guys would accept that. Not many others would.
HBO money. It would probably be his biggest payday. His title wouldn't be on the line because it would at 140. It's a win, win for Vazquez. I hope HBO makes it, it would be a solid fight.

Isn't Vazquez signed with TR? No way Arum lets one of his guys fight somebody like Khan on ten days notice. I think they will scrap it.

Hey he dropped Big Head twice. If he hadn't had all his legal issues hanging over his head he might have performed better that night.

Holt is way too risky with such short notice, a guy like Khan needs a full camp to prepare for someone that dangerous.

Ashly Theophane has a fight this month, didn't he give Garcia a good fight on FNF's ?

That would be a stupid move by Arum, of course he would allow his guy to get paid, even if its against a GBP fighter. Vazquez isnt one of his cash cow guys that he needs to proctect. The guy is very well rounded and has good technique. However, If it isnt Vazquez or Jones, im pretty sure they'll scarp the card. It sucks for Khan because of all these weeks in training camp and no fight was just a waste. Training camps cost a lot of money. Then he'll go longer without a fight.

This is what I want. Let Khan clear his name and move on to bigger and better things.
