I've been a celts fan forever. But even if we hold on here and win game 6 or 7 to get to the finals, we are not going to beat OKC (or spurs if they somehow get it back together).

8.8 left and up 4 with Heat taking last time out with the ball.
man, should have stolen game 2 when we had the chance.

I hope you are right. It would be awesome for OKC to win a championship.captainanddew wrote:captainanddew wrote:celts up 2 with 9.4 seconds in game 5

Thunder vs Celtics for the title. Should be a great series.

spurs up 43-25 with 9:20 in the 2nd, with Parker and Duncan getting their rest.
Thunder has dominated the 2nd all series. Not so far tonight.

Re: NBA Playoffs
thunder made a run in first 5 mins of the 3rd and then duncan and ginobli answered. Thunder only down 9 halfway through 3rd. spurs need to push it back to a 12-14 pt lead to give themselves more breathing room and keep the crowd out of it.

Re: NBA Playoffs
a technical for taunting the thunder bench. Come on. Bullshit.
Fuck you refs. It is the western conference finals 4:20 left in the 3rd of game 6 and you call that.
And I'm not rooting for the spurs. But that was a bullshit call.

I'd love to see the Heat make it (I know I'm the only one) but the Celtics are playing much better than Miami right now. Lebron has to shoot 50% and get double digit rebounds, Wade has to score 24+ efficiently, and someone needs to hold Rondo and/or Garnett to only solid games. Rondo is highly underrated. If he had shooting touch, he would be the best player in the game. Instead he is just an elite top 5 PG. Either way the ECF ends there are good storylines. Celts trying to hold off Father Time for one last title. KG deserves another title and Pierce to me is one of the 3 most versatile scorers in the game (Melo and Durant are the other 2). If Miami sneaks in, you have Lebron vs Durant going for their first title. Wade and Westbrook are elite players. Harden and Bosh are as good as you get as 3rd best players. Fisher is classy and clutch. I would like Battier to get a ring.

celtics.
i'm a celtics fan. we can't compete with okc. We could have won a game or 2 from the spurs possibly but OKC should steamroll us.
OKC is the best team in the league. And they are only going to get better. Ages of the guys that played tonight:
Perkins 27
Sefolosha-28
Durant-23
westrbrook-23
Ibaka-22,
Harden-22
Fisher-OLD
Collison-31
If they win the title they could do it with 4 of the 6 guys that play the most being 23 or younger, which is utterly amazing.
Durant-who from all that I have read is very humble and very much likes living and being in that community rather than being in a big metropolitan area.
The sky is the limit for this team. It would be a big letdown for them to lose the finals to my celts or the heat.
This squad should be in the hunt for the next 4-5 championships assuming they keep everything in place (and no one has career changing injury).

Re: NBA Playoffs
Its crazy. I never thought we would be in the finals this quick. OKC has more support than some of the big markets. Management/Ownership is great and the fans are nuts in OKC.UBeeg9cats wrote:Soonermark890 wrote:Damn I cant believe we came back. Okc vs ?

Cool thing about it is the only one on your list that we are not getting back next year is Fisher.captainanddew wrote:Soonermark890 wrote:Damn I cant believe we came back. Okc vs ?

celtics will struggle so much with OKC.
Heat will have a better shot. Forget listing big 3. OKC is not this good because their 3 best are very good. They are this good because perkins, sefalosa, ibaka, fisher, and collison fit amazingly well with them. Perkins the hardnosed inside guy. Ibaka blocking shots. Sefalosa playing his game. Collison hustling and usually giving quality mins. Fisher still with ability to hit shots, compete, and not get exposed defensively as long as he isn't playing major mins.
Heat are not a great team. Anthony, Miller, Chalmers, Battier, are not enough to support the big 3.

The Thunder are scary good. Can't wait until Rose gets healthy and we are challenging for the title.

.
very old. PP, garnett, allen.
would really help if Bradley hadn't gotten injured during playoffs and Green in December. 2 guys this squad could have used to give it depth and more energy.

I think we will get back into it at some point. Celts will get 4-5 stops and 3-4 buckets in a row at some point.
