Gremlins Remake

This been bouncing around for a while, with the creator on board for it. I actually have no problem with them remaking Gremlins. Especially if they stuck to the original script. It was a lot darker and more gore. It was suppose to be Rated-R. Speilberg came in and offered more money to the budget if they toned it down to appeal to kids and a wider audience.

There's a scene in the original script where a Gremlin is using the severed head of main kid's mom as a bowling ball, and tosses it down a flight of stairs.

Gremlins. Man I'm fucking old. I saw that shit in the theatre.

Corey Feldman was like 12 when they filmed it.

how long until they are going to remake Gone with the Wind or The Godfather or Stalag 17 or the Great Escape or Lawrence of Arabia or the Searchers or Mr. Smith goes to Washington or Citizen Kane or On the Waterfront or Wizard of Oz or Chinatown or Dr. Zhivago?????

I would have listed Star Wars but George Lucas remakes it every couple of years anyway.

Madonna to Star in 'Casablanca' Remake?

Pop superstar Madonna wants to re-launch her acting career with a remake of 1942 classic Casablanca.

The Evita star is reportedly keen to modernize the Oscar-winning romantic drama, which originally starred Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman, and possibly set the film in Iraq.

But the planned project has been met by stiff opposition among Hollywood executives, according to British newspaper The Mail On Sunday.

A studio source says, "She is still determined to make it in the movies. She and her representatives have been touting around a project which is a remake of Casablanca. The reception has been lukewarm to say the least. No one can understand why she wants to redo what many people consider the greatest film of all time.

"She wants to update the story and maybe set it in a modern war zone such as Iraq. There is no script yet. Madonna and her people are testing the waters to see if this is the right vehicle for her and if a major studio will get behind the project."

Thank God the outrage seemed to end Madge's desire to butcher a timeless classic.

I'm not a big fan of Casblanca but to remake it is a joke.

Does Madonna not realize that no one wants to see her in movies?? We want her to just go away.
