If they stick the source maybe it could be good, it worked with The Coen Brothers and True Grit.

I wonder what Paul Verhoeven thinks. Two of his classic movies are already being remade, RoboCop and Total Recall. And I heard they are remaking Starship Troopers.

I don't see the point of a remake of starship troopers or robocop.
As to Total Recall I can see a more serious take on it being decent. the first one was over the top ARnold.

Just saw a trailer for this and it does have Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel. That's pretty important.
