Jones vs. Bailey, Rigondeaux vs. Kennedy set for June 9th PPV
Top Rank is finalizing two bouts that will be on the Manny Pacquiao-Timothy Bradley Jr. HBO PPV telecast June 9 from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mike Jones (26-0, 19 KOs) will face former junior welterweight titlist Randall Bailey (42-7, 36 KOs) for a vacant welterweight belt. Jones, who is 28, will have a significant youth advantage against the 37-year-old Bailey. Also, junior featherweight titlist Guillermo Rigondeaux (10-0, 7 KOs), the two-time Cuban Olympic gold medalist who won his belt Jan. 20 by knocking out Rico Ramos in the sixth round, will make his first defense against Teon Kennedy (17-1-2, 7 KOs), who is 0-1-1 in his previous two bouts. Promoter Russell Peltz, who co-promotes Jones with Top Rank and also promotes Kennedy, told ESPN.com that both deals have been agreed to and that he is only waiting on the paperwork.

For sure. These match ups wouldn't make it on a single network, but are put on a 60 plus dollar PPV.

You'd think with the UFC being on Fox they might at least try harder, hell I think Floyd is going to be competing with one of them.

these 2 fights would be good for a FNF main event or an undercard for BAD. undercards for a $60 PPV should be worth the money. i shouldnt have to pay to watch these fights.

I'm fine with Jones-Bailey. Jones is a talented, young, possible Pacquiao future foe against an inferior fighter with KO power. I think Rigondeaux is a good choice ONLY if he was against an opponent that would make him fight. Kennedy is not that guy. I don't know too many guys that could do that. Arce or Rafa Marquez maybe.

Would these fights be worth it for a $39.99 PPV?

What would you pay then? I hate paying extra for fights. I usually tune it in here at work or I go to a bar for a 2 drink minimum.

Are you talking about including Pac-Bradley or not? I will probably buy the PPV for $55 for the 4 fights. If I had to buy these 2 fights and another undercard of similar quality to Rigo-Kennedy, I would pay $10 maybe $15 at most. It is hard for me to skip a future HOF'er fighting if I think the fight has ANY intrigue.

Pac vs. Bradley should be a WCB card.

I don't buy PPVs any more for that reason. Sure, I can afford them. But it's rip-off. I don't support being ripped off. So either catch a stream or go to a bar. I'll gladly pay 15 bucks. Not 60 bucks, more for HD.
