Either Avalos has a granite chin, or Romero has no power.

A mix of both. I thought there was supposed Solo Boxeo tonight, instead it's some telethon on.

That decision wasn't that shady. I watched the fight and thought Romero controlled it. He definitely had ring generalship and landing the cleaner, bigger punches throughout the fight. The Showtime announcers were just trying to hype Avalos.
It was a classic, "Avalos is throwing with lots of power!" then "Avalos is showing a great chin!" and not "Romero has been blocking a slipping a majority of Avalos' punches" or "Romero has been landing clean shots all night".
More importantly, Anthony Dirrell looked solid. As far as his mentality, he's everything I want Andre to be. Just took the fight to St. Juste. Controlled distance, used a great jab. Avoided every big shot. Worked the body (there was one time when he had him on the ropes where he ripped 3 body punches that was impressive) and kept his composure. Never back down either.
Also, Andre Dirrell was throwing out spot on advice from ring side. He could be a trainer someday.

I watched it and had Romero winning too but it was a close fight.

What do people think of Dirrell? I think at worst he's better than the non-super 6 competition the belt holders have gone up against and Allan Green.
