ESPN's Boxing Coverage
ESPN's Boxing Coverage has been EXTREMELY good for this Cotto/Margarito match. Every day on ESPN.com I have seen boxing in the top stories images. Not to mention, there has been advertising all over the internet for this fight.

And people wonder why I say big fights should be held in New York and other big media cities and not Vegas or some Indian casinio in the asscrack of nowhere.
ESPN's main heatquarters is in Bristal Connecticut, which is a little over two hours from New York by car.

ESPN on the East Coast. There main heatquarters is in Bristal Connecticut, which is a little over hours from New York by car.
Check out ESPN.com right now. It's the main story on the entire website.

Not surpised at all. Good fight. Good story. It's a grudge match. And most of all it's available to media where don't have to pay travel and hotel costs to cover the fight.
I gurantee if this fight was in Vegas, be half empty venue and wouldn't be getting this kind of media attention.

It's impressive to me due to it being football season. Usually boxing will only get the featured story the night of the fight. This has been going on for a week now.

Because boxing hasn't been media friendly. Greedy incompetant promoters like Gary Shaw's who only cares about site fees, and not about actually promoting the fight. So they'd have fights in empty Indian casinios in the middle of nowhere and where no media was going to spend money to go cover it.

I've liked that Bill Simmons Grantland has put an emphasis on boxing. They had a good piece leading into the fight.
