Creative usage of bonuses to help get fighters to be more interactive with fans. Interesting idea. Could work in MMA to help build fan bases only because of the monopoly that UFC has on popular fighters.

Sure is

A lot of fighters on Twitter, its great way for them to market themselves and build a fan base

Its direct access for any fight fan to the athletes, trainers, promoters, writers, etc of the sport

And of course fighters can go back and forth themselves and even create match ups for you

For ultra PC pussy leagues like the NFL, Twitter has become a PR nightmare to the point they've been debating banning players from using it.

The No Fun League don't like players spouting off. They have a fucking Twitter policy and fine players for breaking it. They also banned Twitter use before, during, and after games. They've even gone as far as stating fans violate the league's trademarks by Tweeting play-by-play of games.
