I heard that. And you know what, I can careless. The HW division is irrelevant in todays boxing. As long as HBO and Showtime don't spend money showing it over better fights.

Too bad Wlad loves his stupid trinkets. Because he should dump the IBF shit belt.
Thompson's last two opponents were Paul Marinaccio 24-5 and Maurice Harris 24-14. I guess that's the stuff that earns you a title shot these days.

I have no problem with that since there is no one else to fight. Who is he suppose to fight?

Arreola will be a more entertaining fight. He'll atleast try to win. Thompson quit against Wlad his last outing

agreed and Thompson put up a decent fight the first time. He didn't run, landed some shots during the fight, and was willing to fight Wlad (thus Wlad didn't just jab for 12 freaking rounds).

quit my ass. He got beaten down as the rounds went on. He took some good shots and wasn't running like Chagaev, Ibragimov, Chambers.

Did you watch the same fight? He had a jab off with Wlad, then because had no power, Wlad stepped it up, and Thompson quit. He looked for any opportunity to get out of the fight, so he took the full ten count

On second thought, i was a little lean on Arreola (Yea i used "lean" and "Arreola" in the same sentence) so lemme try this again.
Arreola's whole career = Tony Thompson's latest oppponents

Arreola has fought better comp, if can call it that, than Thompson. Who the fuck has Thompson fought outside his ass whooping against Wlad?

He quit. He couldn't hurt Wlad, was taking a beating, and soon as Wlad landed something, he just fell over and laid there so could be counted out.

Arreola's best win is still old ass Jameel McCline and not getting KO'd by Vitali
Thats how bad the division is

I'm not even going off wins. But what will be the less boring match-up. Arreola will try to make it a fight. Have it at Staple Center and it has a better chance of landing on HBO or Showtime.

It should be at Staples (if it happened) because it's the one place outside Germany that fight might actually sell tickets - never mind what network might or might not pick it up.
As for Thompson - at least he's big enough to not look foolish at the presser with a Klit. But there's very little point in that fight getting made again.
