I actually believe Narveaz will present Donaire a problem like Barker did with Martinez. Its a decent fight, nothing special. Are they even having an undercard fight?

HBO is bogged down with all the bullshit decisions GreenChump left them with. Basicaly gave Donaire a three fight contract to basically fight whoever the fuck he wants.

well how many fighters from 118 below would get decent odd against Donaire? Mares and Agbeko would be big underdogs too. They are not very hard punchers, so their goes a a punches chance. 122 is the only place right now he can be challenged, hopefully he moves up after this year. Sorry to say, but him becoming the man at 118 wont happen as Agbeko or the Mares fight wont ever get made.

The size difference is why this is a mismatch. Nonito is talking about 122-126 and picking an opponent a weight class below him...

The division limit is 3 lbs, but come fight night it will be a featherweight vs bantamweight

i dont mind this fight at all. i mean, i definitely think that donaire will win but these are the type of fights we want to happen as boxing fans. top fighters fighting each other whether or not its a mismatch.

I would have rather seen Nonito fight Vic or Moreno since Mares was unavailable, but it's still an okay fight, although I think Narvaez is overrated from fighting stiffs in Argentina.

I want to see this fight. I've only gotten to see Navarez on youtube and think it will be fun to see him. It's too bad he has to go with Nonito, who'll blast him out unless he is having serious trouble with the weight.

just looking at punch stats for the BHOP debacle. If they are accurate, both guys landed 5 shots in the first round but Dawson appeared to land the more effective punches and was much more active (even though both were pathetic). Round 2 BHOP landed 6 of 16 and Dawson 2 of 24.

If these were accurate then in 5 1/2 mins these guys landed a whopping 18 punches with BHOP.

Please no rematch. IF BHOP is going to fight on he has to be in with guys who are not that hard to find so that he can show some effective offense.

why didn't demarco hold? He could have held in alot of the rounds as the fight wore on and he could have effectively shortened the fight.

Why would Demarco wanted to have shortened the fight?

Narvaez looks like he's handling the weight well, but I don't see how he'll hurt Donaire. He could be real good at 118 though.
