Arum has talked to DiBella about Berto as the possible May fight for Pacquiao if there is no Mayweather fight. Thyey spoke a day or two about it.

Fuck what a mis-match, Berto is straight garbage. I'd rather see Pacquiao with Williams, it's a way better match up and so much more meaningful.

Ummm not really, but what was awesome was that knock out Johnson had over your boy a couple of weeks ago, it was sweeter than that shut out Preformance Ward had over Green.

Let's get it on. This is a good fight. Berto is ranked in the division and holds the green belt. This does anywhere btwn 750 and a mil in PPV.

Berto is my 3rd favorite choice for Pac after Money and PWill if he beats Sergio. I also think it could be for the Ring belt if the Ring steps up their game and demotes/removes Floyd for inactivity/legal problems.

That will never happen, Ring were too snooty to make Mosley vs Margarito for the belt.

The fight easily does 1 mil+ if the rumors are true and Pac-AM did 1.4+. The Clottey fight was short notice and no 24/7. Berto is young, has a slightly (and I do mean slightly) greater following, is flashier, and has a huge Haitian storyline that can be added to 24/7. My guess is it would do close to 1.2 mil.

Berto has fast hands but that is about it. He really doesn't understand how to fight. Pac's superior footwork and ability to understand proper distance will prove way too much for Berto.

I'd love to see this fight, BTW, Berto has a suspect chin, and i'm sure Manny would test it, I believe it would be competitive while it lasted.

Bradley-Pac @140 would make a hell of a fight as well, and Pac finally gets to fight someone his own size for a change.

I just don't see how Berto has a chance. If Manny tried to cover up and let Berto flurry maybe Berto could stop him or catch him good. But Berto is as wide open as Margo was and with half the chin. His stamina and balance have always been questionable. Even though he has very fast hands, Manny could move in circles around Berto. The only thing I'd like to see in this fight is how Manny deals with a guy clinching him, and that's assuming Berto can get a clinch without catch 4 clean shots that drop him. I had hoped to see Pac's clinch game in Manny v. Hatton but Hatton decided to try and box after he lost to Floyd. Now that I think of it Berto reminds me a lot of a post-Floyd Ricky Hatton. He probably should be more of a brawler and inside fighter given his limitations (tires easily, open to punches at mid to long range, terrible balance) and strong attributues (toughness, athleticism, great punch combinations, insane hand speed, ability to smother a guy holding him). As it stands I couldn't see this fight going more than 5.
