I don't recall him saying Ward, but he does say Gatti. He keeps saying something about entertainment value was part of it (such bullshit).

I loved watching Gatti fights but he wasn't a hall of fame fighter in my eyes.

I remember The Fat One calling Ward a future HOF during whole Fighter premiere

the boxing HOF has become a joke. first off, why do there have to be a certain number of people inducted in every year? it doesnt make sense. second, being an exciting fighter doesnt make you a HOF fighter unless you are also good. gatti may have had some great fights but i cant name one great fighter that he has even been able to compete with let alone beat.

Sergio Martinez's beating Pavlik, PW, Dzinziruk, and Barker is more impressive than Gatti's entire resume.

+1 Well if Martinez keeps dominating and hes a probability. There are a lot of good fights out there for him.

I agree. martinez definitely deserves to be in above gatti and i dont at all think that martinez deserves to be in there.

....i agree.the hall any hall should have only the best of the best.its loaded with mediocrity...the new list has several excellent fighters but tommy hearns is perhaps the only one that falls in the best of the best category..he was one fantastic fighter..
