Holy was in the olympics when I was prepping to enter the 7th grade.
Now I'm pushing 40 and he's still fighting for "titles?"
Jesus.

It's shit like this that makes boxing look bad. Fuck everything else. I agree, Holyfield very likely could win. And the stupid media will not pick up on the fact it's a bogus trinket against a chump that refused to fight the real HW Champion.
Instead, they proclaim the hundred year old Holyfield as the Heavyweight Champion of the world.

I think it's terrible how Europe is milking every drop out of the guy.
He wore out his welcome in the USA years ago. Remember, all those losses. Larry Donald, Byrd, Toney, etc. That was supposed to be it.
But with all these "titles" in Europe, he was able to use his big name to get all these fights, Ibragimov, Valuev, etc. While never doing anything to justify a world ranking.
It's like how it used to be when musical acts bottomed out, they'd set up shop in Vegas. I'm all for sentimentality. I'm gonna watch it and pull for the old guy. But in a perfect world, this saga would be long over by now.

That's wrong on so many levels. Povetkin takes that fight instead of trying to get a real Championship fight then he's a fucking bum. Anyone involved in a farce like that, including Teddy Atlas, should be ashamed of themselves.

I would LOVE to hear Teddy bullshit his way out of this if this is true. Povetkin really is a chump, Holy can't be blamed for this, the idiot promoters and bum "champions" should be.

Teddy AssHat has no leg to stand on anymore. He disses fighters with paper titles, for fighting soft opponents, avoiding tough comp. He disses Klitschko opponents.
Here you go Teddy

if Teddy doesn't admit this is a farce then he loses all credibility. He loves to tell it how it is (and often he takes it a step further and just shits on fighters when there is no cause to do so and he is completely wrong).
