Bum Jr vs Hearns...Disgrace

Getting KO'd be the light hitting Sturm in 7 rounds I guess get's you a shot at Bum Jr and a sanctioned title shot by the World Boxing Clowns

To be honest, I can careless he has a trinket. They mean jack shit to me. Unforunitly, to certain fans and the media, they do mean something. This idiot is being called a Champion, and it's sickening.

If we add up the fact that Jr. was handed a gift wrapped title, plus his padded undefeated record, with the fact that Hearns has done absolutely nothing to earn a title shot, except get KO'd in his last fight, it really does smell badly. This fight is a mockery of a grand sport. Now, not only do we have one undeserving guy fighting for a title, we have two!!!

Is this an HBO fight or some niche PPV?

Honestly it is what it is. I dont think much of Chavez Jr so i dont care what his opposition is. When he blatantly ducks Sergio then i'll care just a little bit.

I don't see how it won't be a PPV, since HBO has no money.

And he will duck Martinez, or WBC will create some bullshit way for him to continue to avoid him. But Martinez is as much of a chump for letting the WBC continue to fuck him over, yet still kiss the WBC and Joke Sillyman's ass

Martinez should petition the WBC to fight Chavez Jr. I'd love to see them come up with a valid excuse for not allowing that fight.

That is the only thing I dont like about him. The kid gloves should be taken off soon but that needed to happen since he had no amateur experience.

That doesn't bother me because the trinkets mean jackshit to me. But sadily, not the case for certain people and the media, who do value the worthless junk, and refer to Bum Jr as a Champion for stealing Martinez's belt

I get the no amateur experience side to this.

But there are alot of Mexican fighters with little to no amateur experience who have to learn on the job. And unlike most of those guys, Chavez Jr. has been coddled. Guys like Margarito (and alot of others) have quite a few losses early in the career because they had no experience, were very young, and got thrown in with much more experienced guys.


It is time for him to face decent fighters. He wins the belt against a lower top 10 guy (in a fight that never should have taken place because of the bullshit surrounding Martinez losing the belt).

But now they put him in with a lesser fighter coming off of a KO destruction.

Arum knows he has a cash cow and he is going to milk it all he can. He'll have him fight Hearns.

Then he'll have him face a guy just outside the top 10/beatable lower top 10 guy(this level of guy is necessary so that the sanctioning bodies can say he is facing a good fighter and they can ignore the Martinez situation).

Then he'll have another gimme. Then if Arum thinks he has gotten all he can get out of the kid he'll line up a big fight with Martinez and let him get destroyed. Or hope Martinez has given up/gotten old and lost to someone very good.

This fight is scheduled for Sept. 17th the same night as "Star Power" PPV card. Supposedly Arum was upset he was going thru the fight since he will not be working with Freddie Roach and also the WBC was upset he was going up against Canelo another WBC "champion" who happens to fight on the same night! All in all I see an upset brewing here and the NEW WBC MIDDLEWEIGHT Champion of the world.............Tommy jr!!

Hearns would have to channel his daddy an lay Jr the fuck out to win the fight. He won't win it on the scorecards, that's for fucking sure. Even if he dominates for 12 rounds.

This is the state of boxing right not, unfortunately. People can buy title fights way easier than a few years ago. I mean look at the Pac-Margo fight two fighters who were unranked at 154 fighting for a belt. That was the biggest crock of shit I have ever seen. This is not at all suprising sadly.

I guess Arum is trying to milk every dollar he can from JR. Uncle Bob will sell it as the sons of legends facing off for the Middleweight (paper) Championship. He already recognizes that Jr. is not very good (I mean he said it to ESPN about Jr and Canelo, but its only true about his fighter). After this its either dump title or lose to Martinez. BTW on what Rubio was saying, Jr couldnt knock him out if Marco had one hand tied behind his back. I actually think Rubio would knock the spit out of Chavez with one hand eventually in the fight.

Oh Yeah and hearns is a live dog, I'll say this and Hearns isnt even that good. I thought Zbik got robbed BTW. Horrible decision.
