Garcia did a fine job preparing Margarito for the fight, a mediocre job in the corner advising him and an awful job caring for him. Pretty good interview, thanks! In my judgement the body shot that landed at almost the same time as the cut was caused was the bigger problem for Margarito. But regardless of who is right, the ten seconds where those two things happened turned a competitive fight into a beating.

That body shot won the fight for him. Margarito was able to get him to the ropes and land some body shots that hurt Pac (Pac has said so and you could see him double over a bit on a couple of them). If Margarito had more left at that point in the fight, Pac could have been in some serious danger. Pac had taken enough steam out of Margarito to survive the body shots and get out of danger.

random thought: cotto vs Pac was very good for 4 rounds. Cotto should have gone to the body. That is where Pac is vulnerable against bigger guys. that and uppercuts.

The thing is it seems a rare guy who can get to a position to thunder to the body without getting whacked a little in return. Guys just can't handle Manny's whacking...wait a minute
