Froch has amazing recovery abilities. Road Warrior had him buzzed but within about 15 seconds he regained his composure.

Based on his last fight I'd still have Margo at #1.

True, but he ate right hands at night vs Vitali and still kept marching forward

Vitali isn't a one punch knockout artist though, he's brakes you down and bludgeons his opponents.

That doesn't mean anything in the HW division. Walker can crack. And when getting hit by big HWs, you're more likely to get hurt at some point. What happens when big men throw leather

If that's the criteria, better put Shannon Briggs at the top of the list. His face tasted more leather than Jenna Jameson at an S&M party.gomez1012 wrote:Ali wrote:Walker had Arreola badly hurt in that first round.

Did you see their fights over the weekend? Both casually ate huge shots.

That was 2010 and at MW. I bet Sergio would do the same to Margo. Paul Williams can take a punch.

Williams got hit by a 154 lb midget & was damn near killed by one punch before that.Gumby wrote:flapanther2001 wrote:WTF?Gumby wrote:Throw Paul Williams and Bam Bam up there.

Lara is a 154 lb midget? Even if that's your argument, it doesn't change the fact that he landed big punches all night and Paul kept coming. As for him getting hit, a good chin has nothing to do with an ability to avoid punches.
I'm saying that a good chin has to do with your ability to take punches at the weight you're fighting at. PW is at or near the top of 154ers.

Re: Best Chins in Boxing 2011
Lara looked like a midget next to Williams and doesn't have enough fights against top competition to say whether or not he has real power. My guess is that he has below average power, so to me PW withstanding his power means nothing. I don't think Williams has the chin people think he has. He's just too gawky to hit flush (with a very few exceptions). Just my humble opinion.Gumby wrote:flapanther2001 wrote:Williams got hit by a 154 lb midget & was damn near killed by one punch before that.Gumby wrote:flapanther2001 wrote:WTF?Gumby wrote:Throw Paul Williams and Bam Bam up there.

Why do you think Lara has below average power? PW gets hit flush all the time. Did you watch his fight with Lara?

Chin is one of those weird categories where you have to be somewhat less than great to even get considered. That is, you have to get hit a lot to show if you have a great chin or not.
Take Pac - other than his fights at 86lbs when he was like 12 or whatever, I can't recall seeing him really hurt. Does that mean he has a great chin? Not one you'd usually consider.
