James Toney is returning to MMA to face Ken Shamrock

The moment you've been waiting for is here. James "Lights Out" Toney is apparently returning to MMA, and he'll be facing a legend of the sport. Ken Shamrock. I know it sounds a little crazy, but it really looks like it's going to happen on September 23rd in El Paso, TX.

Tony's probably been working on his wrestling skills and feels he's ready for anyone in that sport. Tony has always been one of my fav fighters and I wish he'd cool out so he can get his rightful spot in the hall of fame. I think he'd made a good ultimate fighter a couple of years ago, but I would advise him against competing in the sport at the present time.

Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb.......repeat.

It's kinda shameful that Shamrock is being allowed to still compete. If Toney hits him, it's over. Guy can't take a punch anymore. But if it goes to the ground, I don't see Toney able to escape an ankle lock. Could go either way. I guess Toney is trying to make a little bread and he's gonna probably get a lot more doing this than fighting stiffs in a boxing ring at some god-forsaken Indian casino in San Bernadino county.

James Toney needs to stop it. I like the guy when we was a boxer, like 10 years ago.

All he's doing now is giving ammunition to the mouth breathers who want to constantly harp on the tired boxing vs. MMA argument.

Toney was done as a boxer at least 5 years ago. He shouldn't be boxing, much less fighting in MMA.

If they pay Toney the same amount they did for his last fight, it's safe to assume that he's a genius.
