Carl Froch now a free agent

While it's been rumored for the last couple of weeks, WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch has officially confirmed that he broke away from longtime promoter Mick Hennessy of Hennessy Sports. Froch has become a free agent, but doesn't state if he plans to retain a new promoter. Recently, unbeaten lightweight star John Murray cut ties with Hennessy and signed up with rival promoter Frank Warren.

Froch is planning to promote himself for the two remaining bouts in the Super Six tournament. He returns on June 4 in Atlantic City against Glen Johnson in the Super Six semi-finals.

"I'm no longer working with my representative Mick Hennessy." confirmed Froch to livefight.com. "My next two fights are already mapped out within the Super Six tournament. I am just soley concentrating right now on beating the likes of Glencoffe Johnson and hopefully Andre Ward."

Yeah at least with Warren Froch will get on Sky Sports and will get some exposure doing tv appearances.

Frank Warren is one of the best in the business at doing what he does. and that is selling fights. always gives the fans their moneys worth and his shows are always excellently coordinated and exciting events. going with Warren is a better option for a newcomer in the game trying to build their star though. Froch should go it alone and do fight by fight contracts and represent himself. the name Carl Froch carries enough credibility now in World Boxing for him to go it alone. don't be surprised if he gets Hayemaker promoting him though. Arum should sign him up!!!

The biggest asset GBP has is HBO, they offer him HBO $$$$ and dates
